Instead of going out and buying yet another pair of jeans, here is an easy way to refresh your look and follow the winter trends!
Grab a pair of jeans and some of your favorite winter booties.
Ask a friend or spouse to help mark the bottom of your jeans. I typically like to go approximately 2" above the top of the bootie that I will mostly be wearing these jeans with.
Extend the mark all the way across the cuff of the jean so you have a straight line to follow with your scissors.
Cut the hem as straight as possible. After cutting the first leg, fold your jeans exactly in half and measure the second leg. Either make another mark on the cuff or just follow along the new hem line with your scissors to cut the second leg.
After cutting them, try them on again to ensure they are the same length. Once you are happy with the desired fit, throw them in the wash. This will give them that natural frayed hemline that you see in all the stores and magazines!
